A Cena is an AA Rosette award winning Fine Italian Restaurant. Voted into the top 10 Independant Italian Restaurants in London for its high quality Italian cuisine.
First opened by Tim & Camilla Healy in October 2001, after 18 years building a reputation for relaxed, elegant Italian dining, they sold A Cena to Tom Rowlandson in March 2019.
An experienced and successful Head Chef with 20 years in the hospitality industry, Tom trained at Leiths School of Food & Wine London. He then went on to work with Daylesford Organic, Salt Yard Group, Petersham Nurseries, Fullers Group and Antipodea London, working his way up to Assistant Executive Chef.
Tom’s culinary cookery passion has always been focused on classic Italian, French & Spanish food.
Since taking ownership of A Cena, Tom and the team continue to build on A Cena’s great reputation adding an AA Rosette award and being voted into the top 10 Independant Italian Restaurants in London.
With Tom’s wife Jade, an experienced and professionally trained restaurant manager, running front of house, diners receive the warmest of welcomes and outstanding customer experience. Everything you’d expect from a family run business.

Tom Rowlandson’s stellar 20 years of cooking experience, includes training under Skye Gyngell at the ‘Petersham Nurseries’, & Ben Tish at ‘The Salt Yard Group’.
Tom is all about serious refined cooking, elegant presentation, with a seasonally changing menu, full of stripped-down, honest Italian dishes.
Since taking ownership of A Cena Tom has achieved 4 consecutive years of AA Rosette Award acknowledgment.
We host a number of events throughout the year, from our very own Supper Club to wedding breakfasts, birthday parties, anniversary, corporate lunches and dinners.
